We are an FTC Robotics team stationed here at St. Paul, who competes in regional, state level, and potentially even international events with a new game every year. We were started back in the 2021-22 season of FTC, Freight Frenzy, and have been competing in TAPPS and state level events for St. Paul. Each year we have to build a robot, program it, and learn to drive it so that we can potentially compete with it at each and every event we attend.
FIRST® Tech Challenge students learn to think like engineers. Teams design, build, and program robots to compete in an alliance format against other teams. Robots are built from a reusable platform, powered by android technology, and can be coded using a variety of levels of Java-based programming.
FIRST®'s mission statement is "The mission of FIRST® is to inspire young people to be science and technology leaders and innovators, by engaging them in exciting mentor-based programs that build science, engineering, and technology skills, that inspire innovation, and that foster well-rounded life capabilities including self-confidence, communication, and leadership."
