DRESS CODE FOR 2010-2011
Christian modesty is the guiding principle behind the dress code at Shiner Catholic School and the virtue we most strongly desire to inculcate in our students by promulgating these rules. The dress code is also a means of teaching neatness, cleanliness, and other principles of good grooming. The school earnestly solicits the cooperation of parents, students, and teachers in achieving this goal.
ALL STUDENTS ARE REQUIRED TO WEAR A SCHOOL-APPROVED RED STANDARD SHIRT ON FRIDAYS AS WELL AS OTHER MASS DAYS. The school administration may designate other days when the standard shirt should be worn school wide.
For the 2010-11 school year, students will be allowed to wear any school approved spirit shirt that has been previously purchased and approved by the administration of Shiner Catholic School. New spirit shirts will not be available to purchase.
Moving forward, all students will need to adhere to the following guidelines:
Students in grades Kindergarten through 12 will wear collared polo shirts with 2 or 3 buttons in one of the following colors: cardinal red (no maroon, red-orange), black or white. Unless a student chooses to wear his/her red standard Mass shirt,
THE SHIRT IS TO BE LOGO FREE!
Pants, shorts and skirts are to be jean material or khaki in color.
For off-campus activities, students in grades Kindergarten through 8 are to wear their red standard Mass shirts with blue jeans or khaki pants.
For off-campus activities, student in grades 9 through 12 are to wear khaki pants and a white, button up oxford shirt. Ties are optional.
